Why you should listen
Using a symphony of secure technologies, including blockchain, AI and IoT, Leanne Kemp’s company Everledger contributes greater clarity and confidence in marketplaces where transparency is a strategic imperative. Her company develops technology to create a secure and permanent digital record of a valuable asset’s origin, characteristics, and ownership. This transparency helps industries respond to growing expectations for sustainable, verifiable sourcing.
Her technology was first used in tracking diamonds and is now being rolled out in other high-value industries. The platform was designed to help insurers, claimants and other stakeholders combat fraud and money laundering.
She has closed $10.4M during the Series A round that valued her company at over $50M.
Leanne is a prominent figure in the technology sector as she co-chairs the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on the Future of Manufacturing and takes part in the Global Future Council on Blockchain. She leads workstreams at the Global Blockchain Business Council, co-chairs the World Trade Board’s Sustainable Trade Action Group, and is on the IBM Blockchain Platform Board of Advisors.
In 2018, her entrepreneurial success saw her appointed as the Queensland Chief Entrepreneur in Australia, to develop the state’s startup ecosystem, attract investment, and support job creation. She is the first female entrepreneur to hold this position.
Hear Leanne speak at the Worldwebforum 2020 about her mission to create more transparency in marketplaces with the help of blockchain, AI and IoT.
Founded in 2015, Everledger is an independent technology company helping businesses surface and converge asset information, using a symphony of secure technologies, including blockchain, artificial intelligence, intelligent labelling and Internet of Things. Our purpose is to contribute greater clarity and confidence in marketplaces where transparency matters most.
We digitally streamline our clients’ compliance processes, to help them demonstrate the lifetime story of an asset with greater efficiency and accuracy. As technology partners, we also support in powering resilience and sustainability. With information out in the open, we believe the value of many industries – from diamonds, to fine wines, to e-waste lifecycle management – will be shared by all stakeholders throughout the value chain.
Leanne Kemp is the Founder & CEO of Everledger, a leading emerging technology enterprise that tracks the provenance of high-value assets on a global digital ledger in an authenticated immutable manner.
Using her extensive background in emerging technology, business, jewellery and insurance, Leanne is pushing boundaries with Everledger in building a global verification system that asserts transparency along the entire supply chain process. This enables the tracking and protection of high-value assets, consequently mitigating risk and fraud in global marketplaces.
Her leadership role in technology has been recognised, winning awards including Innovator of the Year 2018 at the Women in IT Awards (London) as well as being named in UK Business Insider’s 26 Coolest Women in UK Tech 2016 and Brummell Magazine’s Top 30 Female Innovators 2016 in Brummell Magazine.
